Hexagon quilt update

All of the cream coloured hexagons are finally attached to the grandmothers flower garden blocks!

They are not, however, all attached to each other!

But it is starting to look like a quilt now, which is very exciting...

Where to from now?  Well, obviously I need to attach everything to everything else, but then what?  Should I make some half-hexagons to put at the top of the first and third rows and the bottom of the second and fourth rows?  Or some diamonds?  Or should I just fill in the 'gaps' with cream coloured hexagons?  I have never bound an irregularly shaped quilt before either... Will have to do some web-based research on such vexing matters me thinks!

Any suggestions welcome!

This is looking sensational. I can't believe how much you've done already! Irregular binding isn't too bad - just lots of hand-sewing. I used it for my original scrap quilt and loved the effect. Can't wait to see what you decide :)
