The Happiness Project

I'm reading this book at the moment called "The Happiness Project".  It's pretty good.  Without going into the details of the book, I'll just say that the first chapeter really motivated me to deal with some UFOs.

Remember this quilt top?

It's made from beautiful Lecien fabrics and some solid white cotton.  I had the quilting nearly finished a few months ago, but I haven't been able to bring myself to work on it since.

When I asked myself "Why?"  I found out that I just didn't like the quilt enough!

What a revelation!!

So, this afternoon, I did this...

I took the pins out and had these...

Then I made these!

They're just rough little HSTs at the moment, but I will square them up and make something pretty out of this gorgeous fabric yet!

I have a lot of unfinished quilts in various stages of development and I really want tackle them all, even if it means creating something quite different to what I had originally envisaged.

Good for you! No point putting all that work into something you don't love.
