Liberated Snowball Finish

Here's the liberated snowball doll quilt... finished!

I persisted with quilting about half an inch inside each snowball, and I'm actually really happy with the results.

I love the way the different coloured Perle cottons show up on the back of the quilt.

Handquilting was so much more fun than I ever imagined it would be.  I enjoyed doing the large stitch quilting with the Perle cotton, because I didn't have to be too exact with it.  I could just enjoy it.

Have you tried handquilting?  What's stopping you?

How pretty, Sarah! I just hand quilted my first mini quilt with Pearl cotton yesterday. I'm planning to quilt my Paintbox quilt with colored Pearl cotton too, very similar to your snowballs!

You did a great job on the quilting. It looks fantastic!
